As a young girl, I grew up as an only child, living with my single parent mom in the rough parts of Brooklyn, NY. In those challenging circumstances, I faced numerous limiting beliefs and struggled to find my identity. However, my life took a significant turn when my husband expressed his ambition to establish a tax business. Grateful for his vision and the opportunity to contribute, I attribute much of my personal and professional growth to our joint venture. Progressing from mere involvement to becoming a partner marked a pivotal moment, igniting a broader calling within me. While the tax business provided the foundation, my true passion lies in empowering others through resources to foster growth and catalyze transformative change. This journey served as the catalyst for my transition into life and business coaching.
As a little girl, I found solace and joy in reading children's books, fascinated by the illustrations and vibrant colors. Drawing from my childhood experiences and challenges, I set out to create a timeless gift for my daughters—one that would resonate throughout their lives. Thus, I authored "I Can Do It, Mom," with the aim of instilling traits like independence, confidence, and self-awareness in young minds. Partnering with school districts, I successfully integrated my book into curricula for pre-K to 2nd graders, focusing on enhancing sight word education. Through dedication, patience, and unwavering determination, I became a beacon of inspiration for clients who, like me, aspire to create something meaningful to be proud of.
My approach to coaching involves guiding clients in cultivating confidence, leadership abilities, and resilience by delving into their goals and aspirations. Together, we navigate this journey step by step, addressing key aspects such as identifying limiting beliefs, defining daily routines and priorities, managing chaos effectively, and understanding what hinders resilience. Through this introspective process, individuals unveil their true selves and gain clarity in both their personal and professional endeavors.
Today, from a one-bedroom apartment in the slums of Brooklyn, NY, I manage multiple businesses, three children—Laila, Jada, and Mya—and a supportive husband. I have learned the importance of balancing life over time. Establishing a weekly ritual of guilt-free relaxation and seeking support from various professionals and loved ones have been instrumental in maintaining a healthy balance between home life, business endeavors, and personal well-being. Gratitude remains the cornerstone of my journey—a simple yet powerful practice that continues to yield remarkable results.
